Mobile app design for the Chase mobile banking app.
The Chase mobile banking app (a.k.a "Single door") was a project a few years in conception. The goal was to consolidate several of the payment channels (e.g. Zelle, Credit Card Payments, Bill Pay, Payment Requests), some of which only existed on the web, into one single mobile application. The vision was to simplify a user’s path to paying people, paying bills, sending money to companies, adding new recipients, thereby increasing adoption of Chase online payments.
We worked within the payments tribe (a core design team at Chase) to ideate on many of the core concepts of the project, analyzing what other mobile payment apps were doing, and developing features that would give Chase a competitive edge. We created the UI and visual designs of essential modules such as “Fast Pay” (a code name for credit card payments) and “Group/Split Request” (batch payment requests) that were successfully integrated into the app. In addition to the Chase mobile app being one of the most adapted mobile banking apps, the features we designed are used by tens of millions of customers to transact and make payments daily.
